Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi-based industrial parks (IPs) target to attract US$180 million of investment projects this year, rising 37.62% against from 2009.

In 2009, the municipal authorities licensed 16 domestically-invested projects valued at VND728 billion and 27 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects capitalized at US$91.4 million.
The city now has 14 IPs, ranking 4th behind the Dong Nai with 28 IPs, Binh Duong with 21 IPs and Ho Chi Minh City with 17 IPs.
The local IPs have to date attracted 508 projects including 240 FDI projects worth US$3.5 billion and 268 domestic projects totaling VND11.16 trillion.
