Even during these difficult economic times, Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. has continued to increase its business in the Americas. To accommodate this growth with a continuing high level of customer service, Yaskawa recently expanded its U.S.-based operations.
Earlier this year, Yaskawa moved into a new facility near Milwaukee, WI, including office and manufacturing space accounting for 107,000 square feet. Recently, it added an additional 33,000 square feet of manufacturing space to the facility, giving Yaskawa a total of 140,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space.
The original relocation, from New Berlin, WI, to Oak Creek, a suburb of Milwaukee, was needed because growth in the North and South American markets required additional space for manufacturing. The Oak Creek facility houses manufacturing, development, building automation and marketing. Modern work spaces are provided including a dynamometer room and a development lab.
Yaskawa places great importance on its U.S.-based manufacturing operation and on its ability to service customers. Much of the added space will be devoted to manufacturing and service, enabling Yaskawa to continue to provide a high level of customer attention and interaction.
